Patches Pressing & Caring Instructions

Heat Press Instructions

Please note we highly recommend using a heat press for large patches for best results and durability.

  • Temperature: Set your temperature to 350°F
  • Pressure: Set your pressure to Firm (Heavy pressure)
  • Place your patch onto a fabric surface, design side up and adhesive backing side down.
  • Place a teflon/parchment sheet over the patch to prevent potential fabric damage.
  • Time: Press your patch for 20 to 45 seconds and open the press.
As every heat press varies, start by pressing for 20 seconds and verifying if the patch has adhered. If not, press for an additional 20 seconds. This will help determine the optimal press time for applying the patch.

    Iron-On Instructions

    What You’ll Need:

    • Your iron-on patch
    • A thin tea towel or washcloth
    • Iron
    • Ironing board
Before you begin, make sure your garment is ready for application. Keep your clothing washed, dry, and wrinkle-free to ensure the patch sticks properly. Then, lay the garment on the ironing board.
      • Set the iron to the correct settings based on your fabric. Delicate fabrics like fleece require low heat, while polyester or cotton can handle medium or medium-high heat. If you’ve got heavy fabrics such as canvas or denim, crank the heat up to high. And if your iron has specific fabric settings, choose one that matches your fabric.
      • Next, iron the area of the garment where you intend to place the patch. This step will help activate the adhesive backing, ensuring it melts and fuses with the fabric.
      • Place your patch on your garment/fabric with the design facing up and adhesive backing side down.
      • Once patch is positioned in your desired area, place a thin tea towel or cloth over the patch. This will prevent potential fabric damage.
      • Press the cloth firmly with the iron, keeping the iron moving in a slow circular motion for at least 90 seconds. Ensure you’re ironing across the edges and corners of the patch for secure attachment.
      • Check whether the patch is adhering by trying to lift or tugging at the patch.
      • Once patch is adhered to the material, reverse the material inside out.
      • Place the the tea towel or cloth over the patch. Then, press and move the iron in a slow circular motion for around 30 seconds.
      • Remove your tea towel or cloth and ensure the patch is securely attached. Once the patch adheres well, let it cool.

      Care Instructions

When washing any fabric with patches attached, be sure to turn the garment inside out.

Do not wash in hot water or dry with heat or you risk melting the patch adhesive and loosening the patch.
